Tailoring

I design and produce both ready-to-wear clothes and lingerie as well as unique bespoke clothing to order. All my designs are hand-made with love and care and samples can be viewed at the studio shop.

Bespoke clothing

All my designs are made by hand here at the studio, and each piece is unique to the client. I pay extreme attention to every detail and use only the highest quality fabrics in my work.

In the case of a bespoke design and bridal wear I use traditional toiling and fitting methods. This involves creating a calico mock-up (a "toile" ) of your garment and two fittings before the final completion of your piece.

This process ensure that the design is exactly as you wish, and that it fits you perfectly, resulting in a beautiful piece of clothing that you will treasure.

As every piece of clothing I make is unique the prices vary according to the time needed to make the piece, the materials chosen and the complexity of the overall design.

The following list is a general indication of prices:

  • Wedding Dresses from £700
  • Handmade bespoke couture from £200
  • Personal shopping days from £250 for a full days shopping, including consultation


Ready-to-wear clothing

There are of course be many ready-to-wear items for sale in our studio. These are made with the same care and attention to detail as the bespoke clothing. There is always a selection of lingerie to view.

Every 1st Friday and Saturday of the month you can visit me at the studio "L'Atelier de Couture".
